Top 10 Tuesday | Ten Presents I wouldn’t mind Santa leaving me under my tree

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme by The Broke and The Bookish and this week’s topic is Ten Books I Wouldn’t Mind Santa Leaving Under My Tree. But because I’ve already done a “Books on my wishlist” post I will be doing instead: Ten (Bookish) Presents I wouldn’t Mind Santa Leaving Me Under My Tree.

I am combining this something I saw over at Maya’s blog Book Dragon 1017, which is how your dream Loot crate would look like. I don’t know think whatever I picked is something that would be in a Loot Crate, but it’s just for fun anyway. So, my crate would include a combination of several of the items below:

3 Days 3 Quote (Day 3)

I was tagged by Laylah from imbookedbybooks, to do the 3 Days 3 Quotes tag, thank you! This is day 3.

This is a very long quote, it’s more of a poem. But it’s so motivating and positive and it just makes me happy.

“Promise Yourself

To be so strong that nothing
can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity
to every person you meet.

To make all your friends feel
that there is something in them
To look at the sunny side of everything
and make your optimism come true.

To think only the best, to work only for the best,
and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others
as you are about your own.

To forget the mistakes of the past
and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times
and give every living creature you meet a smile.

To give so much time to the improvement of yourself
that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear,
and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world,
not in loud words but great deeds.
To live in faith that the whole world is on your side
so long as you are true to the best that is in you.” – Christian D. Larson

This is my second time doing this tag so I’m not tagging anyone in specific, but if you like to do this tag, consider yourself tagged!

3 Quotes 3 Days tag (Day 2)

I was tagged by Laylah from imbookedbybooks, to do the 3 Days 3 Quotes tag, thank you! This is day 2.

This is a quote by Katie Khan, and it’s from Hold Back The Stars. I think it displays quite well how we humans think sometimes, and it puts things in perspective, if that makes sense?

I think it’s human nature to struggle, even in a perfect world. Caveman struggled to find food and shelter. More recently men struggled in wars. But us. We get depressed if we say something stupid. We’ve got enough, so we have nothing to fight for. And it makes us unhappy. – Katie Khan

3 Days 3 Quotes (day 3)

This is the final day of the 3 Days 3 Quotes tag. I was tagged by both Huriyah from Sugar Quills and Debbie from Debbie’s Library to do this tag. Thank you both (again)!

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor forget the risk and take the fall if it's what you want then it's worth it all

Forget the risk and take the fall, if it’s what you want then it’s worth it all. – Unknown

Basically this quote tells you that if you really want something, don’t be afraid to try. Of course you can fail but it’s worth it. Which reminds me of another favourite quote of mine:

He who leaps for the sky may fall, it’s true.

But he may also fly. – Lauren Oliver

Don’t give up before you even tried!

I tag…

Whoever is reading this! Seriously, if you want to do this tag, go for it!

Quotes about Hope

quotes-other-header

Hope can be a powerful force. Maybe there’s no actual magic in it, but when you know what you hope for most and hold it like a light within you, you can make things happen, almost like magic. – Liani Taylor (Daughter of Smoke and Bone)

He who leaps for the sky may fall, it’s true. But he may also fly. – Lauren Oliver (Delirium)

We need never be hopeless, because we can never be irreparably broken. – John Green (Looking for Alaska)

Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark in the hopeless swamps of the not-quite, the not-yet, and the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserved and have never been able to reach. The world you desire can be won. It exists… It is real… It is possible… It’s yours. – Ayn Rand (Anthem)

“Tomorrow will be better.”
“But what if it’s not?”
“Then you say it again tomorrow. Because it might be true. You never know, right? At some point, tomorrow will be better.” – Morgan Matson (Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour)

Never give up dreaming! xoxo Lia
